2 Who Controls Your Data

2.1 Your coach

Your coach operates as an independent professional and is the primary data controller for personal data relating to your coaching relationship. Your coach is responsible for how they collect, use, and protect your data.

2.2 Unison Coach

We act as a data processor on behalf of your coach for coaching data. We also act as a data controller for limited technical data.

In plain English: Your coach manages your coaching data. We provide the secure platform they use to do that, and we handle it responsibly on their behalf.

1 Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how UnisonCoach.com handles personal data when you register and use the platform as a professional coach. We are committed to handling your data responsibly under Singapore's PDPA, the GDPR/UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, and other applicable laws.

2 Who We Are

UnisonCoach.com is the data controller for the personal data you provide directly to us. For data you collect from clients, we act as a data processor.

3 Personal Data We Collect

6 Your Role as Data Controller

You act as an independent data controller for client data. You must have a lawful basis for processing, obtain necessary consents, and respond to clients' privacy rights. We can provide a standard Data Processing Agreement (DPA) upon request.

7 Session Recordings and Transcripts

You are solely responsible for obtaining legally required client consents before enabling recording. Recordings are strictly confidential and retained per your account settings.

8 Payments and Stripe

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store card details. You agree to Stripe's Privacy Policy by utilizing paid features.

9 Data Sharing & Google API

We share data only with trusted service providers (e.g. Stripe, AWS), required legal authorities, or in the event of a structural business transfer like an acquisition.

Google API Services Usage: Unison Coach's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect your Google Calendar, we strictly use the authentication token to read your calendar availability to prevent double-booking and to automatically create or update events related to your coaching sessions. We do not use your Google API data for advertising or any other unauthorized purposes.

10 International Data Transfers

We may transfer your data globally, employing measures such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure safe and legal transfers.

11 Data Retention

Customer data is retained for the life of your account. Billing records are kept up to 7 years. Recordings are deleted within 90 days after account deletion.

12 Cookies

We use essential cookies to supply basic platform functionality, and analytics or preference cookies subject to your consent.

13 Your Privacy Rights

You have rights to access, delete, and correct your data. To exercise your rights under PDPA, GDPR, or CCPA, contact support@unisoncoach.com.

Our platform is adults-only (18+). If you interact with minors, appropriate legal consent must be handled off-platform by you.
